Tammy Hieber, ARNP, AGPCNP

I started my medical journey with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from St. Petersburg College and worked as a Registered Nurse at local hospitals for 14 years.  I worked and have been in charge of units in the hospital including medical/surgical, women’s surgical, adult and pediatric oncology, telemetry, trauma, and ICU step-down, until I out-grew the role.

I went on to further my education and graduated from University of South Florida as an Adult/Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner in 2016. I started working as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the hospital and office setting managing pulmonary and internal medicine patients.

Having been born and raised in Florida, I understand how the sun, as well as other factors, can affect our skin and appearance.  As a result, I developed an interest in aesthetics and skin care.  I went on to receive additional education, training, skills, and certification in aesthetics.

I do not use any treatments or products on my patients that I have not used myself.  That being said, I am particular in the products I use.  There are hundreds of topical skin care products that give claim to treat a specific cause.  Unfortunately, many of those products lack the medical based, evidence-based, peer reviewed, clinical studies to back them up, unlike the products I use and recommend.

I am a member of national and local Nurse Practitioner and Aesthetics organizations, and attend monthly meetings allowing me to remain current on best practice guidelines.
